Shane Ronan and with Father Mick, own and operate Coastline Painting & Decorating. Together they have over 40 years’ experience in the painting industry.
Mick has been in the painting industry since the mid 80’s. Having traveled from Ireland looking for work, he settled in Boston, Massachusetts and began working as a painter. Mick quickly rose through the ranks to become a foreman and by 1992 had branched off himself to establish his own company, MPR Painting (Mick Ronan Painting), specializing in painting commercial buildings, both interior and exterior, Mick found success and the business grew. By the year 2000, despite the enormous success of MPR painting, Mick made the decision with his wife to move their new family back to Ireland to be closer to relatives. Having been down the road before and found success, Mick decided once again to establish his own Painting company in Ireland – Mick Ronan Painting.
Starting small with the help of friends and family, Mick found work mostly on the residential side with a little subcontracting work painting the interior of a hotel. With a lot of patience and hard work the business slowly grew from its humble beginnings. By the mid 00’s the company had the contracts to two major hotels renovations, both interior and exterior and several school repaints. By this time Mick’s son, Shane was spending his summer vacations learning the tricks of the trade. Under the watchful eye of his father, he learned more than just the skills of a painter. He was taught the importance of clean, honest and hard work along with being trustworthy and dependable was a good road for success. Now having been in the painting industry for 10+ years himself, Shane has acquired many skills through his experience painting in Ireland and in San Diego for the past five years that he has decided along with his father, Mick, who recently moved back from Ireland to establish Coastline Painting & Decorating.
